Legalization or Document Authentication

If you are a national of a country that is not a member of the Hague Convention, you are exempted from the Apostille service. See list of countries

If you need to use documents from your country of origin abroad and your country is not a member of the Hague Convention, you will require that these be legalized for use through the process known as Embassy Legalization.

If the document has been issued within the United States and will be used in a country that is not a member of the Hague Convention, it must be legalized at the United States Embassy.

Embassy legalizations allow your documents to meet the notarization and certification requirements to be used abroad.
